| We are seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler Supervisor to support daily warehouse operations, including distribution and inventory cycle counting. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management, efficient material flow, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on warehouse experience along with the ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform tasks related to receiving, storing, inventory cycle counting, and shipping products
- Ensure all warehouse activities meet productivity, quality, safety, and attendance expectations
- Utilize established procedures, tools, and systems to complete inbound and outbound transactions
- Supervise and assist with daily warehouse functions including unloading, put-away, picking, packing, labeling, replenishment, and shipping
- Verify inventory quantities and product condition at storage and pick locations
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including shortages, mis-picks, and credits
- Conduct and support cycle count audits and research inventory variances
- Report discrepancies and findings to Inventory Management
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable safety regulations (including OSHA and hazardous material handling)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through regular housekeeping
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in process enhancements
- Provide guidance, support, and direction to warehouse team members
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Competencies
- Ability to work in environments with heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to meet productivity, safety, and attendance expectations, including overtime
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and sense of ownership
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a regular basis
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Comfortable using computerized scanning systems and inventory tools
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of inventory processes such as MRB, NIL, and PNF preferred
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6–12 months of warehouse or related experience required
- Prior forklift experience required
- Experience leading or assisting in leading a team preferred
- Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
