Responsibilities of position
|
|
- The Material Handler Supervisor supports daily warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping, receiving, and team coordination to ensure accurate and efficient service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist with receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products
- Monitor and perform inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure accuracy of inventory quantities and product condition
- Support inbound and outbound warehouse processes using standard procedures and systems
- Lead and assist team members to meet productivity, quality, and safety goals
- Report inventory issues and variances to management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA and hazardous material requirements
- Participate in process improvements and daily operations as needed
Skills & Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment (heat, noise, dust, moving equipment)
- Strong attention to detail and accountability
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate warehouse equipment
- Comfortable using scanners and warehouse systems
Experience & Qualifications:
- 6–12 months of warehouse or related experience required
- Forklift experience preferred
- Prior experience supporting or leading a team
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
