Requirements of position




Preferred Skills and Abilities 
• High School diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in safety or HR are a plus.     
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and employment law compliance, with a willingness to pursue further certifications.  
• Proven experience in safety leadership, compliance management, and employee relations.  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities, with the capacity to work 
effectively across all levels of the organization.  
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to use specialized  computer software.  
• Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to quality and safety.  
• Ability to balance compliance, people leadership, and operational priorities.  
• Experience supporting hourly manufacturing workforces is preferred.  
 
Physical Requirements: 
• Frequent use of word processing and other computer programs, and stationary work at an office workstation for extended periods.  
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.  
• Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity, and coordination.  
• Must be able to access and navigate all departments within the facility.  
• Effective communication with managers, employees, and others in person and by phone is essential.  
 
 
 
Responsibilities of position





Safety & Compliance:
• Lead the facility’s safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable standards.  
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training 
programs.  
• Conduct safety orientations, ongoing training, and refresher programs for employees.  
• Perform regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.     
• Lead accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.  
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and reporting requirements.  
• Partner with EHS and plant leadership to drive a proactive safety culture and 
continuous improvement initiatives.  
 
Human Resources Support:
• Assist with onboarding new hires, ensuring all required documentation is collected and submitted.     
• Serve as a coach and liaison for new hires, addressing questions and concerns.  
• Support employee engagement initiatives, including recognition and mentorship programs.  
• Collaborate with the offsite Human Resources Manager to address onsite HR needs and drive people-focused initiatives.  
 
Operational Support:
• Provide backup support for customer service representatives as needed.  
• Assist with organizing and documenting workflows to support customer service operations.  
• Facilitate internal communication and cross-functional coordination within the office and plant.
