Pay/hours for position





Full-Time — Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
 Pay: $92,000 annually
 
 
 
 
Requirements of position




  1. Active U.S. Customs Broker License (required)
    1. Ensure completion of required training and continuing education to maintain an active, compliant U.S. Customs Broker license.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in customs brokerage, trade compliance.
  3. Strong working knowledge of bonded warehouse operations, FTZ regulations
  4. Strong understanding with CBP regulations (19 CFR), PGA requirements.
  5. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  7. Bilingual (English and Spanish) 
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements: 
  1. Microsoft Office Suite
  2. Experience working with Cargowise 
 
 
Responsibilities of position





  1. Prepare, file, and manage customs entries for all modes of transportation (air, ocean, truck), ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs).
  2. Oversee and support operations involving Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs), including admissions, withdrawals, and recordkeeping in accordance with CBP regulations.
  3. Supervise and guide customs entry writers. ensuring accurate classification, timely filings, and adherence to compliance procedures within the CBP guidelines.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate documentation, shipments, and customs clearance.
  5. Maintain and improve internal controls related to import compliance, including FTZ processes and entry audits.
  6. Manage post-entry work, audits and any CBP requests.
  7. Negotiate rates with trucking companies and provide quotes for customers. 
  8. Stay current on trade regulations, CBP updates, and tariff changes, and communicate relevant updates to internal teams to ensure ongoing compliance.
  9. Process CBP daily statements, ensuring accurate and timely payment of duties and fees; coordinate with the accounting department to confirm fund availability and prevent payment delays.
  10. Manage bond renewals and coordination with the surety company, ensuring continuous coverage and appropriate bond amounts for import operations.
