| The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and supporting complex network and application environments. This role provides technical support for network and systems design, testing, troubleshooting, and operational procedures. The position supports application hardware, software, and systems, resolves internal technical issues, and develops or modifies software solutions to support business and operational objectives. Experience supporting manufacturing or automotive environments is highly preferred.
This is a Direct Hire role located in Lancaster, OH with a starting pay range between $85k to $95k.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or automotive manufacturing environment
- Experience with CMS or ERP systems is a strong asset
- Ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments
- Extensive hands-on experience supporting application hardware, software, security systems, and network infrastructure
- Strong technical expertise in:

- TCP/IP networking
- Experience implementing and supporting third-party applications, including server and client environments and upgrades

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, implement, manage, and support daily operations of IT hardware, software, and systems
- Evaluate new technologies and assist with establishing and enforcing IT standards
- Provide daily helpdesk support for office and plant users
- Perform IT onboarding, including network account setup and access administration
- Implement and manage virtual server and virtual desktop environments
- Manage SAN storage technologies (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel)
- Maintain and enhance LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and performance
- Design and support shop floor hardware and network solutions
- Implement infrastructure upgrades and network changes
- Ensure system reliability through redundancy, backups, and security controls
- Coordinate third-party vendors and contractors
- Manage maintenance agreements and software assurance contracts
- Maintain plant-wide cabling infrastructure with minimal disruption to users
- Develop technical documentation, manuals, and user communications
- Install and troubleshoot PCs, printers, barcode labelers, and related hardware/software
- Oversee EDI system administration, support, and mapping
- Manage backups, security, and file systems, including user access administration
- Train and support users on new systems, upgrades, and applications
- Manage disaster recovery planning, storage systems, and virtualization environments
- Provide on-call support for IT emergencies
- Support internal application development, integration, and testing
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on application enhancements and system integrations
- Manage IT-related projects and communicate progress to internal customers
- Support and improve ERP system functionality
- Maintain enterprise-wide virus protection and manage system updates
- Promote continuous improvement of applications and databases
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and health & safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment
