Job Location: Vero Beach, FL
Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $17-$19/ hr
6:00 AM – 3:00 PM for two weeks, then 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM for two weeks
Job Description:
The JobSquad is looking for Warehouse Workers. There are three warehouse positions available: Forklift Operator, Shipping Clerk, and Line Quality Controller.
Forklift Operator:
JOB FUNCTIONS:
● Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and organize citrus products and
packaging materials.
● Unload inbound purchase orders and containers, verify quantities, and stage produce in designated areas.
● Load outbound shipment accurately and efficiently according to shipping schedules and documentation.
● Maintain proper product rotation (FIFO) and ensure lot traceability standards are followed.
● Transport product between receiving, production, storage, and shipping areas.
● Conduct pre and post shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
● Assist with inventory counts
● Keep work areas clean and organized in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
● Follow all company safety policies and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
● Minimum 2 years of forklift experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or food production environment.
● Experience in fast-paced, high-volume operation is strongly preferred.
● Familiarity with scanners or warehouse management systems is a plus.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time constraints.
● High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT:
40+ hours work week and required to work additional hours during peak times or as needed. Weekends and nights are required as needed.
● Work is performed indoors in packinghouse cooler environment
● Working around machinery
● Working around moving vehicles
● Will be required to wear appropriate safety protection when needed.
Shipping Clerk:
JOB FUNCTIONS:
● Monitor each shipment to make sure that orders/shipments are picked correctly and accurately.
● Greet drivers upon arrival and assist with the check-in process.
● Perform inventory control.
● Report daily inventories, exceptions, and outages; assist Shipping Supervisor to determine root cases and
implement corrective actions.
● Maintain Food Safety records for the shipping department and cooler facilities.
● Develop and distribute aged reports, conduct routine floor counts and update NAV system as applicable.
● Oversee manifest administrative functions and accurately report to various parties (Sales, USDA, and IR League).
● Utilize company software and programs (BC365, Microsoft systems, etc..) to maximize work efficiency and
management of Shipping/Cooler operations.
● Complete tasks to meet the company's shipping schedule.
● Use scanners and scales to perform job duties.
● Track and report usage of pallets and reusable containers.
● Initiate installation for temperature recorders as needed.
● Assist with clerical duties as needed.
● Assist with operational duties as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
● Ability to work independently,

● Follow all shipping guidelines set for by the company.
● High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
● 1-2 years of experience in shipping logistics or warehouse operations preferred.

Line Quality Controller:
JOB FUNCTIONS:
● Regularly review the grade-out bin to determine appropriateness and make decisions accordingly...put pieces back in or keep as is.
● As needed, slow or speed up the roller/delivery line based upon the fruit quality/condition.
● Regularly review fruit in bags for appropriateness of quality - fruit quality, weight of bags (not too much, not too little), etc. (This position is not in charge of bag weight, UPC label, etc., but if a non-conformance is noticed, it will be reported to the Dpack Operator.)
● For eat Lot# (or more frequently if sizes are substantively different), collect representative grade-outs in a plastic bin for photos to be taken by the office to send to the grower/exporter.
● Promptly alert management if unusual or excessive fruit quality issues are found.
