Job Description: Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving operations, strong computer skills, and excellent communication abilities. Candidates with an aviation or aerospace background are highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Enter and update data using company software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipments and deliveries.
- Organize and maintain warehouse and storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment activities.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and shipping regulations.
- Track shipments and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Support general warehouse and logistics operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Previous shipping and receiving experience required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Aviation or aerospace industry experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Inventory control and warehouse operations experience.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation and logistics processes.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, aviation, or aerospace environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software.
