| The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a range of duties to support warehouse operations, including receiving, processing, and organizing incoming stock, fulfilling customer orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Stocking:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and inspecting for damage.
- Unload materials and products from delivery trucks using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts).
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper shelving and stacking.
- Tag and label merchandise for organizational and tracking purposes.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Pick and retrieve items from stock according to customer orders and company standards.
- Accurately pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring product integrity and proper labeling.
- Prepare shipping documents and coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickup and delivery.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records by regularly updating stock levels and conducting cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Report any discrepancies, damaged goods, or quality issues to management.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning technology to track inventory movement.
- Warehouse Maintenance & Safety:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment by sweeping, mopping, and ensuring clear aisles.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Conduct routine safety checks on equipment and facilities, reporting any maintenance needs or hazards promptly.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and regulations.
- General Duties:
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Assist in other warehouse tasks as needed, including general labor and facility support.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow.
