| We’re looking for a skilled Technical and Test Technician to support the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced light and heavy rail vehicles. What You’ll Do
- Perform skilled testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electronic and electro-mechanical systems on transit vehicles.
- Work on systems including propulsion, train control, braking, HVAC, communications, door control, and lighting.
- Follow established schedules to test and verify system performance, ensuring each vehicle meets operational and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify issues and implement system modifications.
- Use diagnostic and precision tools to perform detailed inspections and system verifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results and completed work for vehicle history records.
- Support on-site technical assessments and perform adjustments to in-service vehicles as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in a light rail, aviation, or similar technical environment.
- Knowledge of low/high voltage systems (VDC, VAC) and relay logic.
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, current probes, and pneumatic gauges.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and manuals.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with attention to quality and safety.
- Proficiency with precision tools (micrometers, calipers, torque tools).
- Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative technical team.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school education preferred.
- Must have and maintain a personal hand tool set.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an active production environment.
