The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Shop Technician/ Mechanic to work at a company located in the West Palm Beach, FL area! Job Title: Shop Technician/Mechanic Job Location: West Palm Beach Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $36 to $38/HR Job Description: Efficiently perform quality repairs on lift trucks and industrial equipment. Complete work assignments safely and satisfactorily, meeting the needs of both the customer and Nationwide Lift Trucks. Work may involve individual tasks or collaboration with a team of mechanics and battery technicians to maintain a fleet of forklifts at manufacturing and/or distribution facilities. REQUIREMENTS Previous forklift mechanic experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and background. Valid driver's license. Pre-employment drug screening and background check. Good communication, technical, and analytical skills. Demonstrates professional behavior and contributes to a supportive team atmosphere Strong sense of accountability and willingness to collaborate effectively. Ability to work well with others and contribute to team success WORK CONDITIONS Perform physical activities requiring significant use of arms, legs, and full-body movement, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials. Must be able to stand, lift, squat, pull, push, and lift up to 70 pounds repetitively. Work in potentially undesirable conditions. Operate machinery and tools may required safety equipment, such as:Eye safety glasses. Work boots. Hard hats. Aprons, gloves, and other protective gear. RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Relations Project a positive image by interacting cooperatively, supportively, and courteously with employees, customers, and management. Communicate accurate and timely information to relevant parties. Maintain positive and courteous communication with customers. Quality Repairs Perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles. Maintain an adequate and accurate parts inventory. Complete service jobs on time and correctly on the first attempt. Diagnose and repair lift trucks and other equipment. Accurately complete and submit paperwork (e.g., work orders, time cards) daily. Operate lift trucks and equipment as needed. Read and comprehend technical manuals. Use appropriate test equipment for troubleshooting. Steam clean equipment. Participate in company-sponsored training programs. Rebuild motors, engines, transmissions, and major components. Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems (including masts and attachments). Diagnose and repair electrical systems, LP gas, gas, and diesel engines. Repair brake systems. Safety Practice common-sense safety at all times. Keep tools in good working condition. Maintain personal and work area safety standards. Keep shop and vehicles clean and serviced. Notify Talent Acquisition Specialist as soon as a job is no longer needed unless the recruiter is closing the order. Closing the order will also remove the posting.
