We are seeking a skilled Set-Up Mechanic to support production operations by setting up, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment used in regulated production environments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production lines run efficiently, safely, and in compliance with quality standards. Candidates with experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, food, or personal care manufacturing are strongly encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities - Set up, change over, and maintain production line equipment (e.g., fillers, cappers, labelers, coders, conveyors, tube fillers, pneumatic tools)
- Troubleshoot mechanical and minor electrical issues to minimize downtime
- Observe equipment in operation and diagnose mechanical problems
- Disassemble machinery to remove and replace defective parts
- Inspect parts for wear, defects, and dimensional changes
- Adjust mechanical components and control instruments to ensure proper operation
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and lubrication of equipment
- Clean and maintain machinery in accordance with safety and GMP standards
- Test equipment performance after repairs and changeovers
- Complete equipment changeovers within established time standards
- Document maintenance activities as required
- Assist with training and supporting other maintenance or production team members
- Follow all safety protocols and support a safe, compliant work environment
Qualifications - Previous experience as a mechanic or equipment technician in a manufacturing environment
(pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, food, or personal care experience preferred)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical knowledge a plus
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and maintenance procedures
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
