Requirements of position 

•  Our client Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. 

• Prepares Journal Entries and records assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. 

• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. 

• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries. 

• Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents. 

• Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors. 

• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential. 

• Trains and manages junior accountants. 

• Expert in AR and AP and computer systems 

• Knows the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 

• Demonstrates strong technical accounting skills 

• Shows strong leadership skills and manages a growing accounting team 

• Familiarity of Sage 100 a plus 

• Familiarity with Food Manufacturing and Distribution a plus 

• Ability to work on site daily 

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar major is required Or, 

• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance
