| Requirements for the Position:
- High School graduation or its equivalency.
- Possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the operation of an ice rink and/or roller-skating facility. Comparable experience in other recreational or entertainment venues, such as indoor trampoline parks, amusement parks, family entertainment centers, or similar facilities, may also be considered.
- 1st aid and CPR certification preferred
- Must be able to understand and comprehend written and verbal instructions; general knowledge of generally accepted safety standards for specified work.
- Must successfully complete and pass a Level 2 background screening as a condition of employment.
- Must be available November 2025 – January 2026

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Responsible for the operation of a seasonal ice-skating rink. Must ensure all safety protocols are followed and all rules are enforced to ensure public safety of the amenity. Operation will include a POS system, waivers, and ice skate rentals. Receives direction from Operations Manager and/or Director; however, employee acts with independence in the performance of routine tasks, which involves customer service and ice-skating operation.
| Performs a variety of light construction and/or maintenance functions including, but not limited to, the following:
- Overseeing ice skate rentals
- Monitors safety checklist items and ice rink resurfacing as required
- Monitors compliance of safety rules for patrons
- Ensures waivers are properly filed out and stored for records
- Tracks facility use by session attendance logs
- · Ensures the ice rink remains a fun safe environment for all
- · Monitors the transactions to ensure proper pricing is charged
- · Safeguards assigned equipment and tools.
- Prepares reports as required by supervisor.
- Creates weekly PT staff schedule, monitor payroll budget
- Oversight of hourly staff, assigning workstations, oversee break rotation
- Document employee attendance
- Staff training and development
- On site point of contact for escalated guest conflict and accident/emergency response
- Inventory management of maintenance/custodial, first aid supplies, consumables (gloves/socks)
- Point of contact for external vendors/contractors, municipal contacts, contracted user groups
- Assists with equipment repairs & maintenance as required
- Performs other job-related duties as required by supervisor.
