| Requirements for the Position:
- High School graduation or its equivalency.
- Ice Skating Experience Preferred
- Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the operation of an ice rink and/or roller-skating facility. Comparable experience in other recreational or entertainment venues, such as indoor trampoline parks, amusement parks, family entertainment centers, or similar facilities, may also be considered.
- Must be able to understand and comprehend written and verbal instructions; general knowledge of generally accepted safety standards for specified work.
- Must successfully complete and pass a Level 2 background screening as a condition of employment.
- Must be available November 2025 – January 2026

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Responsible for rotating shifts at the seasonal ice-skating rink in Homestead. Rotational duties include cashier/waivers, ice skate rentals, and on ice monitor during skate sessions.
- Cashier Duty
- Welcome and greet guests in a friendly manner
- Answer questions on policies, hours of operations, and other FAQs
- Check in pre-registered guests or create a new reservation for walk up sales
- Ensure proper fee or valid coupon is collected for session
- Ensure tickets/coupons are scanned in / marked used
- Ensure waiver is properly filled out and checked in
- Ice Skate Rental Duty
- Ensure proper maintenance, disinfection, and storage of ice skates
- Assist patrons with proper sized ice skate rentals
- Demonstrate how to secure, tighten, loosen buckles
- Offer guests helmet, gloves/socks, or skating aid
- On Ice Monitor Duty
- Assist patrons to stand back up on ice
- Enforce rules on ice to maintain safety of all skaters
- First Aid response/communication to team members
- Ensure all rink entrances/exits are clear of people and obstacles
- Inspect ice quality, report any divets/holes/cracks to the Ice Tech on duty
- Inspect dasher boards for any safety concerns and report to Ice Tech on duty
- Assist skaters off of the ice surface before resurfacings
- Assist Ice Technician in preparing ice for maintenance
- Maintain clean event space: pick up garbage, sweep floors, straighten benches, etc
- Safeguards assigned equipment and tools.
- Prepare reports as required by supervisor.
