- $18.00hr
- 50. cent increase after 3 months
- After 1 year $1 increase

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitation of the Processing Department, including all equipment and work areas. This role ensures compliance with sanitation standards, food safety requirements, and company procedures while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements of position
- Minimum 2 years of experience in production and food processing.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures
- Ability to stand for 8 hours
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities of position
- Lift up to 60 lbs. safely and consistently.
- Wear proper work garb, including smock, hair net, beard net, apron, rubber gloves, hearing protection, and boots.
- Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling or working around chemicals.
- Train in and retain knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, adhering to all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
- Participate in the de-brining process by rinsing salt from fish as part of the smoked fish production process.
- Push and pull trollies loaded with product or equipment as needed.
- Bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and reach above shoulder level as required by the job.
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Train to properly disassemble and reassemble machinery and equipment for cleaning and maintenance.
- Work effectively in cold and refrigerated environments.
- Follow all safe work practices, food safety, and sanitation standards.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs).
