7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Must be flexible with start time and end time) 

Pay Rate: $16.50/hr.  

 

Requirements of position

The Sanitation Associate, performs all tasks involved within the Sanitation department, including but not limited to providing support to the Food Safety Department in efforts to assure that the New York facility maintains its high sanitary standards and produces safe products. Duties/Responsibilities: • Performs work as assigned by the FSQA Manager • Distribute general supplies throughout the plant, offices and employee breakrooms • Maintain general cleanliness of the offices, enclosed areas of plant, and exterior of the facility • Monitor supplies inventory (cleaning tools, boots, chemicals, production utensils, PPEs, etc.) • Perform deep cleaning tasks according to sanitation schedule, including cleaning ceilings, lights, walls, and some equipment, etc. • Complete sanitation related logs as needed (Chemical strength checks, Cooler sanitation log, miscellaneous sanitation logs, etc.) • Perform special cleaning projects as needed • Perform off shift or weekend deep cleaning as needed in the plant • Other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: • No supervisory responsibilities are required for this role. Night or weekend cleaning might be needed • Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work Education/Experience: • High School Diploma or equivalent • 1-3 years in manufacturing/ sanitation environment preferred Physical Requirements: • The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms or legs to perform job tasks. • Must be able to reach above and below shoulder height to move product. This includes the ability to move throughout all areas of the facility. • Ability to climb stairs • The ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, legs, or a combination of these muscle groups. • The ability to wear all necessary personal protective equipment to perform job duties. • The ability to work in cold (32 to 45F) and wet environment • Ability to work on the production floor and stand for more than two hours at a time • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at times.
