Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Route Delivery Driver to make local deliveries of packaged fish and seafood products throughout the boroughs of New York City. The driver will operate a 14'–22' box truck or delivery van and make scheduled deliveries primarily to delis, grocery stores, and other food-related businesses.
This is a hands-on delivery position that requires safe driving, dependable attendance, customer service, and the ability to load, unload, and handle seafood products throughout the day.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a 14'–22' box truck or delivery van throughout New York City.
Deliver packaged fish and seafood products, primarily salmon, to delis, grocery stores, and other commercial customers.
Load and unload products at the warehouse and customer locations.
Follow assigned delivery routes and complete daily deliveries efficiently.
Safely handle and transport food products while maintaining product quality.
Verify orders and deliveries to ensure the correct products are delivered.
Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
Complete required delivery paperwork and documentation.
Follow all company, food-handling, and transportation safety procedures.
Work independently while maintaining communication with the warehouse and delivery team.
Perform additional loading, unloading, and warehouse duties as needed.
Requirements
Valid New York driver's license.
Clean or acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Previous box truck driving experience is required.
Experience operating a 14'–22' box truck or similar delivery vehicle.
Must be comfortable driving throughout the boroughs of New York City.
Must be comfortable lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading boxes of seafood.
Must be comfortable working around fish and seafood products.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a daily delivery route.
Must be willing to work early mornings.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday.
Schedule
Monday – Friday
Start time is flexible between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM depending on the driver's preference and route requirements. End time is flexible and will depend on when the daily route and deliveries are completed.
Compensation & Benefits
$22.00 per hour
Monday – Friday schedule
