Requirements of position
A Receiving Clerk unloads delivered shipments and compares the Packing Lists
to purchase orders, ensuring accuracy of deliveries. Assists with receiving
material and material putaway in the warehouse.
Main responsibilities: 1. Unload delivery trucks and make sure that each incoming delivery matches the company Purchase order 2. Arranging unloaded goods in a manner that optimizes the space in the Receiving area 3. Documenting damaged delivery’s to assist the company with the claims process 4. Accurately processing and labeling incoming goods in multiple ERP systems 5. Investigate and correct receiving issues that impact invoice payment 6. Ensure that all goods systematically stored in the Receiving locations are cleared 7. Perform inventory cycle counts and transactions, as needed 8. Assist the warehouse team with pulling of job orders, as needed Qualifications and experience: 1. High School Diploma/GED required 2. Prior Warehouse experience required 3. Forklift experience required 4. Prior Manufacturing Stockroom experience preferred 5. Familiar with production and inventory systems 6. Effective verbal and written communication 7. Computer skills. Experience using MicroSoft Word and Excel preferred 8. Ability to lift 75-100 pounds Behavioral requirements: 1. Be able to work independently with little supervision 9. Strong time management and organization skills 10. Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work 11. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
