Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA regulations, and company quality standards in the production of nutraceuticals and dietary supplements. The QA Inspector will be responsible for monitoring production, conducting inspections, and documenting quality-related activities to maintain the highest level of product safety and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final product inspections to ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
Monitor manufacturing, packaging, and labeling operations for adherence to quality and safety guidelines.
Perform sampling, testing, and verification of raw materials, components, and finished products.
Review batch records, production logs, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Investigate and document non-conformances, deviations, and corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
Assist in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure that proper hygiene, sanitation, and environmental controls are maintained in production areas.
Collaborate with production, R&D, and regulatory teams to implement quality improvements.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field is a plus).
1-3 years of QA/QC experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment (nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or food industry preferred).
Knowledge of FDA, cGMP, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements related to dietary supplements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality deviations.
Ability to read and interpret SOPs, batch records, and technical documents.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and electronic quality systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and lift/move moderate weights if necessary.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with quality control testing, microbiology, or analytical lab techniques.
Knowledge of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action), root cause analysis, and quality improvement processes.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
