The Production Worker is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the preparation of smoked seafood products. This includes working as part of a team to remove frozen raw materials from freezer storage for thawing and future brining, applying salt brine to raw fillets, and racking brined fillets onto screens for de-brining and smoking. The role also involves assisting with cleaning and sanitizing production areas to maintain a safe, efficient, and sanitary work environment.
Requirements of position
- Minimum 2 years of experience in production and food processing.
- Ability to work in cold temperatures
- Ability to stand for 8 hours
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Schedule may vary start salary $18.00 with an increase at 3 month and after 1 year $1 increase.
Responsibilities of position
- Processing, packing, and skinning salmon
- Working in a cold-temperature warehouse setting
- Standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
- Following safety, quality, and production standards
