| Responsibilities of position | |||||
| KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Production Planning & Scheduling Create and manage production schedules based on customer orders, inventory needs, and production capacity. Issue daily work orders to production teams and adjust schedules as needed based on raw material availability and labor resources. Monitor scheduling adherence and update timelines in real-time when necessary. Inventory Coordination & Raw Material Management Work with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure availability of raw materials, packaging, and supplies to meet production demands. Maintain accurate inventory forecasts and plan production to avoid shortages or excess inventory. Assist in monitoring finished goods inventory levels to align production with customer order trends. Cross-Department Collaboration Communicate daily production priorities to supervisors, leads, and warehouse staff. Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to ensure order fulfillment deadlines are met. Collaborate with QA and maintenance teams to account for downtime or equipment availability when planning production. Data Management & Reporting Maintain and update production schedules and capacity reports within ERP and scheduling systems. Analyze production efficiency, yield data, and downtime to support continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare and distribute daily and weekly production status updates to leadership. |
