Responsibilities of position
 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and inventory processes. This role is responsible for ensuring timely procurement of materials and services while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.  This is a Direct Hire role.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all procurement-related activities 
  • Maintain inventory levels, track availability, and generate reports as needed 
  • Develop and monitor delivery schedules to align with production needs and address any delays 
  • Utilize effective negotiation strategies to achieve cost savings and favorable terms 
  • Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers while upholding high ethical standards 
  • Obtain competitive quotes for products and services 
  • Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements 
  • Issue purchase orders and manage change notices for materials, parts, and supplies 
  • Oversee the full procurement lifecycle from purchase request through delivery and closure 
  • Monitor vendor performance, including on-time delivery metrics 
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders 
  • Accurately enter and maintain procurement and receiving records in internal systems 
  • Support monthly inventory counts of materials and equipment 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations 
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills 
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities 
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Proficiency with procurement systems and Microsoft Office tools 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
