Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Professional to lead sourcing and procurement activities for complex mechanical and electrical subsystems across active projects and new business opportunities. This role is responsible for developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and reducing supply chain risk throughout the project lifecycle. This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering a starting salary range between $95k-$105k and a generous benefits package as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories based on project requirements.
- Lead RFQ (Request for Quote) activities and manage supplier negotiations through contract completion.
- Source and procure complex electromechanical components (examples: brakes, doors, HVAC systems).
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Project teams to evaluate supplier proposals and select vendors.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and review contract terms including pricing, payment terms, warranty, claims, and risk provisions.
- Maintain contract and procurement data within company systems (SAP and contract management tools).
- Monitor supplier performance and build strong relationships with key vendors.
- Identify and manage supply chain risks including capacity, financial stability, geopolitical impacts, and material shortages.
- Support supplier claims and issue resolution when contractual obligations are not met.
- Track project procurement performance, including budgets, costs, and savings.
Qualifications:
- 8–10 years of procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and cost structures.
- Experience negotiating complex supplier agreements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (advanced Excel), ERP systems (SAP preferred), and procurement tools.
- Experience with contract development and commercial negotiations.
- Ability to analyze costs and drive sourcing decisions.
