Requirements of position
|
|
|
|
|
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in plastics, manufacturing, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience as a Process Technician or related position within the injection molding industry.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and optimizing molding processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Good understanding and knowledge with basic maintenance and quality practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to document processes clearly and understand work instructions, equipment manuals and all warning and precaution signs and labels.
- Excellent decision making, good judgement and integrity.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Continual standing, bending, walking for extended periods during the shift
- Working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Setup and start injection molding machines, including installation of molds and auxiliary equipment
- Adjust machine parameters to achieve optimal cycle times, part quality, and material efficiency.
- Process Optimization:
- Monitor and analyze molding processes to ensure stability and consistency in part quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve processing issues, including defects, cycle time variances, and equipment malfunctions.
- Implement and document process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce scrap
- Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular inspections of molded parts to ensure they meet quality specifications and MAJOR PURPOSE standards.
- Work closely with the quality department to address non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of process parameters, machine performance, and product quality.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines, molds and auxiliary equipment.
- Diagnose and repair minor mechanical and process- related issues, escalating complex problems to the maintenance or process engineering teams.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to continual process improvement initiatives.
- Team Collaboration:
- Communicate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to address.
- Train and mentor new operators and technicians as required.
- Ability to backfill the production supervisor when absent
- Follows all Occupational Safety and Health Policies and Procedures. Reports any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor.
- Follows Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
- Understands and complies with all Departmental Quality Policies and Procedure
