| Requirements of position

| 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred
Proven experience setting up and programming HAAS CNC machines
Strong understanding of G-code and conversational programming
Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings and GD&T
Proficient with common shop equipment (manual mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, etc.)
Strong knowledge of cutting tools, work holding, and machining principles
Experience machining steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and tool steels
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality

| Responsibilities of position
|
|||||
| Set up, program, and operate HAAS CNC mills and/or lathes (including editing G-code at the control when required)
Develop and optimize CNC programs for efficient, accurate machining
Manufacture tooling, fixtures, jigs, prototypes, and support components for internal production use
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and work holding methods
Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and indicators
Maintain tight tolerances and high surface finish standards
Troubleshoot machining issues and make real-time adjustments as needed
Maintain organized work areas and ensure proper machine maintenance
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tool design and manufacturability
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce setup time and improve tooling performance
