Requirements of position
   

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Associate or bachelor's degree in operations, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
  3. At least 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, packaging, or production environment.
  4. Must possess good mathematical and counting skills.
  5. Must have at least three (3) years of leadership experience.
  6. Experience working with production schedules/ planning preferred. 
  7. Knowledge of Manufacturing KPIs preferred.
  8. Must Be Proficient in Excel or google sheets.
  9. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  10. Clear communicator with operators, supervisors, and management.
  11. Fluency in the English / Spanish language is a must.
 
           
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Examines work orders and packing specifications;
  2. Ensures that policies regarding materials, hoppers, packaging, and vehicle loading are followed;
  3. Assist the Packaging Manager in overseeing daily packaging operations across multiple lines.
  4. Ensure production runs meet scheduled quantities, timelines, and quality standards
  5. Identifies and fixes machine setup and malfunction problems;
  6. Participate directly in daily and weekly packaging planning.
  7. Coordinate with planning, inventory, QA, and maintenance.
  8. Send packaging manager and upper management needed reports.
  9. Support in supervision of packaging supervisors, line leaders, and operators.
  10. Serve as acting Packaging manager when needed (Coverage, PTO, off shift).
  11. Assist with KPI Tracking and Production Reports.
  12. Identify opportunities for process improvement, labor optimization, and waste reduction.
  13. Support implementation of new procedures, equipment, or SOP updates.
  14. Support audits, inspections, and internal reviews as needed.
  15. Comprehension of BOM, and able to review and fix any issues.
  16. Ensures the team meets all packaging targets and quality standards;
  17. Ensures the necessary training and qualification of operators on equipment and processes is accomplished and correctly documented; Trains and coaches team members;
  18. Observes and guarantees adherence with all safety, environmental, sanitation requirements, and GMP guidelines;
  19. Communicates with different relevant departments;
