| Job Summary:
The Warehouse Worker / Package Handler is responsible for efficiently loading, unloading, sorting, and preparing packages for delivery. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment while ensuring timely and accurate order processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
- Unload incoming trailers and sort packages by destination or ZIP code.
- Load outgoing trucks and trailers accurately and efficiently.
- Verify and inspect packages to ensure proper labeling and condition.
- Assist with inventory, scanning, and general warehouse tasks as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily goals.
- Report any damaged or missing packages to the supervisor immediately.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Dependable and punctual with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work in varying temperatures (heat and cold, depending on the season).
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to help where needed.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced warehouse setting with changing priorities.
- Exposure to various weather conditions depending on dock and trailer activity.
- Personal protective equipment such as gloves and work boots are recommended.
