Responsibilities of position

Responsibilities:

Perform MIG welding on steel components used in platforms and structures for industrial elevators
-
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols to ensure precise fabrication
-
Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
-
Measure, cut, and fit materials according to job specifications
-
Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity
-
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
-
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines
-
Requirements:
-
1–3 years of recent MIG welding experience (industrial or structural steel preferred)
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
-
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
-
Familiarity with tools such as grinders, torches, and measuring devices
-
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work well in a team environment
-
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Previous experience welding platforms, frames, or structural steel
-
Certification in MIG welding or related trade training
-
Knowledge of other welding techniques (TIG, Stick, etc.) is a plus
