Responsibilities of position




 
cherry picker job involves safely operating the lift to pick and move orders from high warehouse shelving. Key duties include order picking, preparing products for shipment, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and adhering to safety protocols. The role may also include general warehouse tasks and routine equipment inspections. 
 
 
Core responsibilities
  • Operate cherry picker: Safely and efficiently use the equipment to pick, move, and stage materials and products from warehouse racks.
  • Order fulfillment: Accurately pick items for orders and prepare them for shipment.
  • Warehouse maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and tidy, and perform general warehouse duties as needed.
  • Safety and compliance: Follow all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and warehouse procedures.
  • Equipment care: Conduct daily inspections of the cherry picker, reporting any maintenance needs or safety concerns. 
Additional duties
  • Inventory management: May include assisting with inventory cycle counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Loading/unloading: May assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts or pallet jacks.
  • Team collaboration: Work with supervisors and team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
