$18.00 p/hr. Flexible schedule- 40 hour work week. Weekends required
Job Description: RESUME AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Core Responsibilities
- Meat Preparation: Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind beef, pork, poultry, and fish per safety and retail specifications.
- Merchandising: Package, wrap, and label products; stock meat cases to create attractive, sanitary displays.
- Customer Service: Fulfill custom requests, educate shoppers on cuts, and provide cooking recommendations.
- Sanitation & Safety: Strictly adhere to health department and corporate sanitation guidelines, including cleaning equipment (saws, grinders) and monitoring cold-room temperatures.
- Inventory Control: Rotate stock to ensure freshness, monitor code dates, and manage waste or shrink.
Key Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts in cold environments (40° F) and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Tool Proficiency: Strong knife skills and operational knowledge of meat saws, grinders, and scales.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with USDA food safety standards, meat science, and portion yield.
Core Requirements Across All Roles
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift or carry products weighing up to 50–60 pounds.
- Sanitation & Safety: Strict adherence to hand-washing, food-handling, and health department codes to prevent cross-contamination.
- Customer Service: Friendly, patient demeanor to assist shoppers in a fast-paced retail environment.
