Job Description:
The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This role supports production operations by ensuring materials are available when needed, maintaining accurate inventory records, and following company safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
ï‚· Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging supplies throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
ï‚· Supply production lines with necessary materials to maintain operational efficiency.
ï‚· Remove and properly store finished goods from production areas.
ï‚· Load and unload trucks in accordance with shipping and receiving procedures.
ï‚· Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
ï‚· Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
ï‚· Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
ï‚· Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies.
ï‚· Maintain organized warehouses and storage areas.
ï‚· Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
ï‚· Support housekeeping initiatives and maintain a clean work environment.
ï‚· Assist other departments as needed to support operational goals.
Qualifications:
ï‚· High school diploma or GED required.
ï‚· Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience preferred.
ï‚· Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification required.
ï‚· Basic computer and inventory management system experience preferred.
ï‚· Ability to read, understand, and complete shipping and receiving documents.
ï‚· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
