The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a Material Handler  to work at a company located in the Grass Lake, MI area!

Payrate: $19-21/hr (depending on level of experience)
 
Shift: 1st Shift
5:00am-3:30pm (Hours may vary, Weekend Overtime as needed)
Requirements of position




Skills and Qualifications: 
  1. Proficiency with basic measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, scales).
  2. Proficiency with computers, inventory software, and data entry.
  3. Ability to work independently
  4. Understanding of BOM’s and material flow
  5. Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  6. 1-2 years of shipping and receiving experience.
  7. Forklift experience required: Must have the ability to drive a forklift safely and accurately
  8. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  9. Experience and understanding of using Hilo’s and overhead cranes, safely and accurately, to move raw material
  10. Work safely and follow all plant safety rules and PPE requirements.
  11. High School Diploma or equivalent 
  12. Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings.
 
Responsibilities of position





Responsibilities: 
  1. Record inventory counts, document orders using scanners or software, and maintain accurate records of materials handled.
  2. Deliver materials to production lines and move finished goods to storage or shipping docks.
  3. Efficiently move, stock and organize materials in designated areas.
  4. Load and unload delivery vehicles, check shipments for damage, and verify against, and sign for shipping documents.
  5. Perform quality control on items
  6. Support tasks such as loading trucks, preparing shipments, and operating a Hi-Lo when primary duties are complete.
  7. Maintain a clean, safe and efficient warehouse area, including sorting staging, and storing materials.
Overview:
In this role you will utilize manual and/or power material handling equipment to pick, sort and place material in designated locations. Palletize and stage materials for shipment as well as receiving stock for inventory.
