Detailed Job Description:
SUMMARY
Ensures constant flow of material supply to respective machines; e.g., cartons, master cases,
labels, cellophane, aluminum foil, adhesives. Follows housekeeping, hygiene, sanitation, pest
control, safety practices. Ensures that all activities are followed based on procedures,
instructions, etc., as well as ISO 9001 requirements, and FDA, ATF, GMP, OSHA, & EPA
regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Levels of Authority and Decision Making are indicated as follows: (1) May take action independently;
(2) May take action but must advise supervisor and other respective stakeholders as needed; (3)
Must receive approval/authorization before taking action.
General:
1. Communicates well and, in a timely fashion, as needed with immediate supervisor. (1)
2. Manages and enforces all procedures, instructions, etc., as well as ISO 9001, FDA, GMP, EPA,
etc. practices for all assigned personnel. (1)

Recycling Equipment Operator:
The duties of this operator include:
1. Ensures performance of the machine. Ensures the machine is running with correct specs as
per performance and safety requirements.
2. Ensures that recycled tobacco blend is properly segregated.
3. When a machine is doing a brand change, the recycle wagon from that machine is replaced by
an empty recycle wagon. A card is placed on the empty recycle wagon indicating the blend that
is being manufactured on the machine.
4. The recycling operator assures all his or her work is properly recorded on his or her production
report.
5. When a tobacco box is completed and the QA specialist performs testing and the box is
approved, the box is then approved for utilization as recycled tobacco.
6. Turns off machines at the end of the day of production, and properly cleans work area and
assure work area is ready for inspection at all times.
Tobacco Handler:
Feeds tobacco into cigarette production machines by performing the following duties.
1. Places tobacco on transport carts and brings it to production area. Removes tobacco boxes
from elevator using the vacuum hoist, and places tobacco boxes on roller conveyor. (1)
2. Feeds tobacco into cigarette production machines ensuring right amount of tobacco and type of
tobacco (blend) is used for optimal production of cigarettes in accordance with quality
