Requirements of position
|
|
|
|
|
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in a manufacturing or production management role, preferably in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food industries.
- Certifications: Knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and other industry standards is required. Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficient in production planning and scheduling software.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and chemicals.
- This role is based in a manufacturing facility, with a mix of office and production floor settings.
- Shift flexibility may be required, depending on production schedules.

Responsibilities of position
|
|
|
|
|
|
- Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced efficiently, within budget, and on time.
- Lead, supervise, and develop a team of production employees, including operators, technicians, and production assistants. Conduct regular performance evaluations and offer training and support.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancements while maintaining product quality.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations, and other relevant industry standards. Ensure product quality meets specifications through regular inspections and quality control procedures.
- Oversee raw material and finished goods inventory levels. Ensure timely procurement and efficient storage of materials required for production.
- Enforce workplace safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards within the manufacturing process.
- Monitor production costs, manage budgets, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Coordinate routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production machinery to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports on production output, efficiency, product quality, and safety compliance. Maintain accurate production logs and documentation for regulatory purposes.
- Work closely with R&D, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure seamless production, packaging, and shipping of finished products.
