Starting Pay:  $39.05 per hour 
Hours:    2nd Shift | 2:00pm-10:00pm  (Monday-Friday)
 
 
Requirements of position
 
 
Experience & Education 
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in food processing, agriculture, or manufacturing
  • Vocational/trade school training or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred
Troubleshooting Skills
  • Ability to respond to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and part replacements
  • Accurately document work orders, repairs, and parts use in a CMMS 
  • Support production startups, changeovers, and equipment adjustments
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and line improvements
Technical Knowledge 
  • Working knowledge of food processing and packaging equipment, including washers, conveyors, cutters, dryers, sorters, baggers, sealers, and case packers
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, and SOPs
  • Basic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment (recognizing faults, sensors, and alarms; escalation when programming changes are needed)
  • Experience with motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, pumps, valves.

Position Overview:
 
This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and commissioning equipment across manufacturing and production lines. This role is ideal for a technician with strong mechanical and electrical experience in manufacturing environments who can troubleshoot, repair, replace, and install equipment on live production lines. You will play a key role in maintaining uptime, improving reliability, and ensuring safe operations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Troubleshoot and repair production and processing line equipment during active operations
  • Install, replace, and align motors, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors, chains, belts, and drive systems
  • Diagnose electrical and control issues including 3-phase systems, panels, sensors, PLCs, and VFDs
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment uptime
  • Support line startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Complete CMMS work orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and food-grade operational standards
