Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Production Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance department on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required
- Must be available to train on 1st shift for approximately the first 6 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
- Repair motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, and other equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
- Maintain maintenance records and machine documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity
Qualifications
- 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience with machine drive systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting production equipment
- Experience diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs and machine controls
- Machine shop experience (lathes, mills, grinders, brake presses, stamping equipment)
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repair experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Journeyman machinist experience is a plus
