Pay and Hours for Job + Benefits: $28.50-$29.50 p/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
Overtime: May be required based on business needs, including weekends and holidays

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our food manufacturing team. This position is responsible for keeping production equipment safe, reliable, and operational by performing mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and facility maintenance.
The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment quickly and safely.

Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and packaging machinery.
  • Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and recommend solutions to prevent recurring failures.
Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
  • Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks using CMMS guidelines.
  • Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, abnormal noises, and potential safety concerns.
  • Perform lubrication, adjustments, calibration, and component replacement as needed.
  • Accurately document maintenance work and parts used.
Facility & Utility Maintenance
  • Maintain facility systems including piping, HVAC components, lighting, and compressed air systems.
  • Assist with boiler, refrigeration, and water systems as qualified.
  • Help ensure building support systems operate safely and efficiently.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow all OSHA, SQF, USDA, and food safety requirements.
  • Follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, service records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Assist with installation, startup, and optimization of new machinery.
  • Work closely with Production to troubleshoot recurring equipment issues.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of industrial maintenance or mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of conveyors, motors, bearings, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical power transmission.
  • Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in time-sensitive situations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in SQF- or USDA-regulated food manufacturing facilities.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including reading schematics, replacing sensors, and using multimeter.
  • Welding and fabrication experience, including MIG/TIG, cutting, and grinding.
  • Trade school, technical certification, apprenticeship, or industrial maintenance training.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to routinely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including cold rooms and warm processing areas.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical equipment, vibrations, wet conditions, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE, including steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, and eye protection.
  • Comfortable working around food-processing equipment and sanitation operations.
