Position OverviewJob Squad Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client’s maintenance team at a leading food manufacturing facility in Bolingbrook, IL. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems maintenance, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities - Apply technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to maintain and repair equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on both production and non-production machinery.
- Conduct daily and predictive maintenance activities focused on food safety and reliability.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Utilize maintenance software (CMMS) to document work orders and maintenance findings accurately.
- Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to update PM procedures and improve equipment performance.
- Safely operate standard maintenance tools and perform work involving welding, fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Follow all safety policies, maintain a clean work environment, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience in food manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing knowledge.
- Ability to read and apply technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
