Must be available from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hr.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility infrastructure, utilities, and production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations. This role supports continuous production by performing preventative maintenance, responding to equipment failures, and assisting with installations and improvements in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems and production equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
Diagnose equipment failures and execute timely repairs to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records
Facility & Utility Support
Maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and vacuum systems
Support utility infrastructure such as chillers, pumps, process gases, and exhaust systems
Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs and inspections
Assist with facility upgrades, equipment installations, and layout changes
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and PPE requirements
Ensure work complies with GMP, OSHA, and local regulatory standards
Report safety hazards, equipment risks, and maintenance deviations
Support inspections and audits by providing maintenance documentation
Operational Support
Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs during production hours
Assist operations staff with equipment setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency
Maintain organized maintenance areas, tools, and spare parts inventory
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or GED
2+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance experience
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documentation
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments
Preferred
Technical certification, vocational training, or apprenticeship
Experience in GMP, pharmaceutical, food, chemical, or regulated manufacturing environments
Basic PLC, VFD, or automation troubleshooting experience
Knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, or process utilities
Forklift, scissor lift, or confined space training

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Clear communication with operations, QA, and management
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Adaptability in a fast-paced production environment
Work Environment
Manufacturing and laboratory environments
Exposure to mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and utilities
Standing, walking, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces as required
May require occasional off-hours or on-call support
