Responsibilities of position

|
|
|
|
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead and coordinate all maintenance operations at our heat-treating facility. This individual will play a key role in ensuring that all machinery, equipment, and facility systems are maintained at peak performance to support production goals and safety standards. This is a Direct Hire position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and schedule daily activities for maintenance technicians on 1st shift
- Oversee preventive maintenance and repair of furnaces, quench systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and other heat-treating machinery
- Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing uptime
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues and assist with hands-on troubleshooting and repair when necessary
- Maintain and monitor CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order tracking and planning
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and company safety policies
- Manage inventory of critical spare parts and tools
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and other departments to support operational goals
- Train and mentor maintenance team members, encouraging continuous improvement and skill development
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a heat-treating or heavy manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance setting
- Strong working knowledge of heat-treating equipment, furnaces, and mechanical systems
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Familiar with CMMS software and maintenance planning tools
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a high-heat industrial environment
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certifications preferred
