We are seeking an experienced 2nd shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role provides technical expertise and leadership to maintenance personnel while ensuring equipment reliability, process efficiency, and achievement of plant performance goals.The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a team of skilled trades including Maintenance Technicians, Controls Technicians, Weld Technicians, Maintenance Planners, Team Leads, and Toolmakers. This role plays a critical part in improving equipment uptime, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This is a Direct Hire role offering a starting salary between $85k and $95k and a generous benefits package as well. Key Responsibilities - Provide technical expertise and leadership to maintenance teams supporting current production and new program launches.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions related to equipment downtime and quality concerns.
- Evaluate manufacturing processes and equipment performance, recommending improvements to increase reliability and productivity.
- Monitor and manage department KPIs, including MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
- Participate in product launch and process planning activities, including review of weld assembly work cells and tooling.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment availability and throughput.
- Ensure materials and resources required for maintenance work are available and properly managed.
- Develop and implement training programs for skilled trades personnel in robotic and manual welding processes.
- Approve and maintain employee time records and scheduling systems.
- Participate in meetings, training programs, and operational planning as required.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, environmental programs, and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and promote safe work practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications - 5–7+ years of experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment, preferably involving welding and assembly operations.
- Strong knowledge of automotive welding processes, including:
- Resistance Spot Welding (RSW)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
- Projection Welding
- Familiarity with robotic welding systems and related equipment.
- Understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
- Experience with engineering and quality systems including:
- PPAP documentation
- Blueprint reading
- GD&T
- Mechanical testing and inspection tools
- Experience with preventive maintenance planning and CMMS systems.
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for equipment and manufacturing processes.

- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with robotic welding programming (Fanuc experience preferred).
- Familiarity with AWS and RWMA welding standards.
- Experience with maintenance management systems such as EMaint or similar CMMS platforms.
