Requirements of position
 
 
Qualifications:
  1. Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
  2. 5–7 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing, including supervisory experience.
  3. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  4. Basic PLC troubleshooting skills preferred.
  5. Experience with refrigeration, HVAC, and preventive maintenance programs.
  6. Proficient with CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  7. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in environments with temperature variations and moving mechanical parts.

Summary:
 We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic III to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our maintenance department in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance staff, ensuring proper equipment functionality, and maintaining compliance with all safety, GMP, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, advanced technical knowledge, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the Maintenance Shop Foreman and Maintenance Technicians, ensuring daily maintenance operations run efficiently.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and ensure minimal equipment downtime.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, order parts as needed, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Train, develop, and evaluate maintenance staff to ensure team performance and growth.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to support equipment readiness and production goals.
  • Lead process improvement projects focused on efficiency, product loss prevention, and equipment reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to GMPs, SQF, OSHA, and all safety regulations.
  • Support facility and equipment upgrades, including coordination with external contractors and vendors.
