Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Machine Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our tobacco manufacturing team in Opa-Locka. This position is ideal for candidates who have experience operating production machinery and warehouse equipment and are comfortable performing physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machines, moving materials throughout the warehouse, assisting with production processes, and ensuring products are packaged and prepared according to company standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate production, packaging, and warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Set up, monitor, and adjust machines to maintain production goals.
- Load raw materials and packaging supplies into machines.
- Perform routine machine inspections and report equipment malfunctions.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery.
- Move, organize, stage, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and production floor.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse organization.
- Follow all safety policies, GMP standards, and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform additional warehouse and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous Machine Operator, Production Worker, Manufacturing, or Warehouse experience required.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50-75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working around machinery and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment for extended periods.
- Must be capable of performing heavy manual labor when needed.
