Requirements of position
We are hiring an Entry-Level Lumber Grader for a lumber mill environment. This role is responsible for inspecting and grading lumber based on quality standards. No prior grading experience is required—training will be provided for the right candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Inspect lumber for quality, size, and defects such as knots, cracks, or warping Sort and grade lumber according to company and industry standards Stack and organize lumber for processing or shipment Remove defective or damaged materials from production Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and guidelines in a mill environment
Responsibilities of position
Requirements Entry-level position; training provided Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment Preferred (Not Required) Previous experience in a lumber yard, sawmill, or manufacturing environment Basic understanding of measuring tools or material inspection What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience On-the-job training and skill development Opportunity for advancement Stable, full-time work environment
