Shift/Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm (onsite)
This is an onsite temp/contract to hire position so will start off as an onsite temporary employee for the company.

Requirements of position

Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of progressive experience in an IT support role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical users.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proficient with a broad array of networking and systems hardware and software.
- Experience with Zebra printers is a plus.
- Must be able to work onsite, in office. No remote/work from home.
- The IT Technical Support Specialist will sit in the IT tech front office but will need to go on the company’s production floor daily to fix workstations as needed.
- Must be ok with working at a food (fish) processing plant and putting on PPE (personal protective equipment), hairnets, boots, etc.
- Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds of equipment from time to time in the facility.

Responsibilities
- Provides essential technical support to resolve various desktop, software, network and office equipment issues for end users.
- Assess and troubleshoot various desktop, software, network, and office equipment issues and technical support to resolve desktop, software, and network issues for end users.
- This role involves maintaining IT servers and managing inventory, ensuring smooth operations within the facility's IT infrastructure.
- Maintain the server room, ensuring cleanliness and checking for alerts.
- Complete end user requests, including updating intranet content and setting up VPN connections.
- Manage desktop installations, including Microsoft updates and anti-virus operations.
- Oversee printer management, including toner replacement and maintenance tracking.
- Handle phone management tasks such as adding extensions and resetting voicemail passwords.
- Log and manage IT inventory for the facility, including laptops and networking equipment.
- Collaborate with leadership on IT projects and initiatives.
