|
| Overview:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Aviation Inspector to join our quality team. In this role, you’ll ensure that all incoming and outgoing materials meet established inspection and documentation standards in compliance with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). This position plays a key role in maintaining accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence within a fast-paced aviation environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform visual inspections of incoming and outgoing aircraft parts and materials.
- Review purchase and repair order documentation, identifying and reporting any non-conformances or missing information.
- Verify quantities, physical attributes, and documentation for release.
- Enter, validate, and confirm data accuracy within internal databases.
- Follow Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures when receiving or processing sensitive materials.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support warehouse operations including unloading, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, cycle counting, auditing, and shipping.
- Pack and ship materials following established procedures and customer or ATA SPEC 300 packaging standards.
- Ensure shipments are properly packaged to prevent damage during transit.
- Process air waybills and shipping documentation, checking for accuracy and scheduling pickups as needed.
- Ensure all necessary documentation and images are properly uploaded and included with each shipment.
- Communicate with management and shipping teams regarding inspection and shipping-related issues.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ year of experience in aviation parts inspection or related field preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO and/or AS Quality Standards a plus.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations.
- Experience using carrier systems such as FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.
- HazMat training is a plus.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems, ShipStation, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to perform light to moderate lifting and operate warehouse vehicles or material handling equipment.
