Responsibilities of position
The Outbound Aviation Quality Inspector ensures aircraft parts are inspected, documented, and packaged correctly before shipment. This role helps ensure parts meet FAA, EASA, customer, and safety requirements before being sent to airlines and maintenance facilities worldwide. Key Responsibilities Inspect outgoing aircraft parts for quality, accuracy, and proper condition. Verify FAA/EASA paperwork, including 8130-3 forms and airworthiness documents. Confirm part numbers, quantities, and customer order requirements. Identify and report damaged parts or documentation issues before shipment. Ensure parts are properly labeled, packaged, and preserved for shipping. Maintain accurate records in the company’s inventory system. Follow safety, Hazmat, export, and ESD handling procedures. Work with Quality, Sales, and Warehouse teams to resolve issues. Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment when needed. Support continuous improvement and perform other assigned duties. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years of aviation parts or MRO experience required. Previous aerospace quality inspection or logistics experience preferred. Knowledge of FAA traceability and aircraft parts documentation. Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, Hazmat, and ESD standards is a plus. Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
