The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a  Maintenance Mechanic   to work at a company located in the Germantown, WI  area!

 
Job Title





 1ST , 2ND and 3rd Shift – Food Industry  - Maintenance Mechanic 
Position Location




 GERMANTOWN, WISCONSIN 
 
Pay/hours for position





 1st Shift     $27.00 to $32.00
2nd Shift $1.50 differential 
3rd Shift $2.50 differential 
 
2nd Shift – Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm 
3rd Shift – Monday to Friday 10pm to 6pm
 
  1. Weekend rotations- all maintenance employees are out on weekend rotations and the schedule is planned 1 year in advance so everyone knows what weekends to expect to work. 
 
  1. OT is always available and be signed up for. 
 
  1. Training will be done 1st expect weeks to months on 1st shift before moving to 2nd or 3rd.  No shift differential while working 1st shift. 
 
 
 
Requirements of position




 
  1. Industrial Maintenance experience 
  2. Troubleshooting 
  3. Preventative Maintenance 
  4. Conveyor belt, packaging machinery
  5. Food Manufacturing experience – a huge plus
  6. Lock out tag out
  7. Pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, pumps and valves, mechanical repair, electrical repair a plus
  8. CMMS work order system usage 
  9. Must have food industry experience 
 
 
 
Responsibilities of position





 
Job Responsibilities
  1. Perform preventive maintenance (PM), predictive maintenance and repairs on equipment and finds solutions for improvements to equipment to keep them running at or above required efficiency levels.
  2. Trouble-shooting and solving problems with mechanical systems such as fillers, conveyor, and case erectors.
  3. Use of test equipment such as vibration meters, laser alignment systems, etc. 
  4. Trouble-shooting and solving problems of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  5. Maintain accurate work logs of repairs using the CMMS work order system and equipment modifications including preventative maintenance and emergency repairs, to ensure information is 
 
Minimum Qualifications
  1.  
High School or Equivalency Diploma
  1. Journeyman Card or 4 years of applicable experience as a qualified mechanic in troubleshooting, mechanical repair such as pumps and valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems, or equivalent military experience.
  2. Experience and strength in the areas of Lock Out Tag Out
  3. Demonstrated ability to read and utilize prints and drawings of components and mechanical systems.
  4. Strong mechanical skills and technical aptitude
  5. Demonstrated an organized, logical, and detailed method of troubleshooting
  6. Must have strong verbal and written communication and problem solving skills.
  7. Flexibility and ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays to support production needs is required and can include on call coverage
  8. Ability to read, write and understand the English language
  9. Demonstrated ability to read and understand safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  10. Ability to use a personal computer (PC) and related software, ideally Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  11. The drive to learn new skills and to investigate when you do not know something yourself
  12. Desire to work in a fast paced environment with limited supervision
  13. Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable regulatory requirements while following the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices.
  14. Other duties as assigned.
  15. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
•              Associate’s degree in Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering or other related field
•              Previous experience with mechanical troubleshooting automated systems      
•              Knowledge of aseptic processes, equipment and products
•              Journeyman’s Certification as a Mechanic
