Job Description:
JobSquad is hiring a detail‑oriented and experienced General Machinist to join our production‑driven team in Paw Paw, MI. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision machining, enjoy hands‑on work, and excel at operating and maintaining a wide range of machining equipment.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Vertical Mills, Surface Grinders, OD Grinders, Boring Mills, Lathes, and related equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read micrometers and interpret blueprints/schematics
- Computer literacy and solid basic math skills
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a strong commitment to quality
- Must own tools and be able to lift 50–75 lbs
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Maintain quality control and keep a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently
