| Formulation Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Formulation to support our R&D and production teams in developing innovative formulations. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field, with strong teamwork skills and fluency in English and Spanish. This role offers hands-on experience with formulation processes, supplier coordination, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulation Preparation & Testing: Assist in the preparation and testing of formulations, including capsules, tablets, liquid capsules, chewable, unflavored powders, and soft chews.
- Raw Material Management: Support raw material qualification and collaborate with QA to maintain accurate raw material specifications.
- Project Support: Participate in the Alternative Code Project and assist in piloting adjustments in manuals and batches in coordination with R&D.
- Quality & Compliance: Contribute to change control and deviation forms of submissions, ensuring documentation and processes meet quality standards.
- Organoleptic Evaluation: Collaborate with QC on taste, texture, and appearance testing of products.
- Supplier & Vendor Interaction: Participate in supplier/vendor meetings and help evaluate raw materials or processes.
- Manufacturing Oversight: Conduct manufacturing walk-throughs to identify potential production issues and suggest improvements.
- Innovation Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Science Officer on developing and optimizing new formulations.
